You may qualify for a rebate when you make energy efficient investments in your home. Specific conditions apply and some rebates require documentation of pre-existing conditions. Appliance Rebates
Buying a new clothes washer, refrigerator, freezer or water heater? You could qualify for a rebate. Appliances must be Energy Star qualified and installed within a residence served by Fall River. You must apply for a rebate within six months of the purchase date. Go to www.energystar.gov to see current list of qualifying models.

Marathon Hot Water Heater Rebate
A $25 rebate is available when you purchase a Marathon water heater from Fall River. This rebate applies to all sizes of water heaters. Call Fall River to find out more about the rebate. Learn more about Marathon at www.marathonheaters.com.

Window Replacement Rebate

Requires pre-inspection
If you have old windows in your home, you may qualify for a rebate of $4.20 per square foot of replaced windows. The rebate is available for single-family or multi-family homes with permanently installed electric heat. Prime window replacements must meet Energy Star requirements and have a U-value of .30 or less. Patio doors must have a U-value of .35 or less. Replacement installation that results in increased window area is not allowed under this program. You must contact Fall River’s conservation specialist to have a pre-inspection to determine if you qualify for this rebate.

Insulation Rebate
Requires pre-inspection
Add insulation to your attic, floors, or walls and save money on heating and cooling all year-round. Rebates are available for single-family or multi-family homes with permanently installed electric heat. Rebates are available and vary according to your specific pre-existing conditions. Insulation Rebate Application

Ductless Heat Pump Rebate
Requires pre-approval
A $1,250 rebate is available for new ductless heat pump projects. The ductless heat pump must be installed in a single-family home with permanently installed electric zonal heat within the Fall River service territory. This rebate requires pre-approval and each home qualifies for only one heat pump rebate. The ductless heat pump must be installed according to specifications, by a contractor who attended a Northwest Ductless Orientation and received installation training from the manufacturer of the installed ductless heat pump equipment. Geothermal (Ground Source) Heat Pump Rebate
Requires pre-approval
A $2,100 rebate is available for new geothermal heat pump projects in single- family homes with permanently installed electric heat served by Fall River. The heat pump must be Energy Star qualified and installed by a PTCS certified technician. New heat pumps must have a Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF) of 9.0 or higher, and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) of 14.0 or higher. This rebate requires pre-approval and only one rebate is available per home. Contact the Conservation Specialist for a rebate application.

Air Source Heat Pump Rebate
Requires pre-approval
A rebate is available for air source heat pump projects in single family homes served by Fall River. New heat pumps must have a Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF) of 9.0 or higher, and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) of 14.0 or higher. Heat pump installation must adhere to the latest version of the BPA/PTCS Air Source installation standards. Only one heat pump per home qualifies, unless the home has more than 4,500 sq. ft. of heated floor space. If there is more square footage, then the home may qualify for two rebates.
